چکیده

This article presents the development and application of a modelling approach based on quantities obtained from mechanical electrical tests to assess aging low voltage cable insulation for nuclear applications. In order obtain experimental data needed establishing models, accelerated is performed coaxial cables. The first part this paper focuses predictive properties; allows evaluation Dose Equivalent Damage (DED) as function stress (dose rate). However, use assessment some problems, being such destructive potentially affected by local defects. novelty work lays introduction new model, allowing definition end-of-life point in terms non-destructive tests. second correlation with at different stresses, which allow estimation expected life under test be derived diagnostic measurements properties like, e.g, tan δ. Finally, proposed model two typical real-condition environments presented discussed.

Responding to the Needs of Aging Pupulation

The phenomena of "graying" of population which was started in 20th century will continue in the next. It confronts the world with new challenges in the realms of health economy, politics, and cultural issues which are very difficult to overwhelm. The problems arising of this phenomena must be welcome, because they are indicators of upcoming development. Aging of population has occurred in devel...

Partial Discharges in Low-Voltage Cables

Testing of high voltage apparatus for partial discharges has long been recognized as an important part of quality control for these devices. Recently, interest has been focused on methods for testing low voltage cables to determine their integrity under adverse operating conditions such as a loss of coolant accident. A new method, utilizing partial discharges, is presented which has the potenti...

Static Strain Aging Behavior of Low Carbon Steel Drawn Wire

The static strain aging is a phenomenon that can change the mechanical properties of low carbon steels. Thus, the static strain aging behavior of low carbon steel wires after drawing process is studied. To do so, the wires are austenitized at different temperatures and cooled in different rates. Then the wires are drawn and aged at a specific temperature and time. Before and after aging of each...

Cooee bitumen: chemical aging.

We study chemical aging in "Cooee bitumen" using molecular dynamic simulations. This model bitumen is composed of four realistic molecule types: saturated hydrocarbon, resinous oil, resin, and asphaltene. The aging reaction is modelled by the chemical reaction: "2 resins → 1 asphaltene." Molecular dynamic simulations of four bitumen compositions, obtained by a repeated application of the aging ...
